I am currently sitting in calc class not wanting to pay attention so why not write a blog post since I haven’t in a while am I right?? Anyways, finals week is almost upon us but first I have a huge engineering project due tomorrow/Thursday and I’m dead. Stay tuned for an update on that, but first I want to acknowledge the weather!!! Yesterday was the first snow (actually, it had snowed for the last game but that was gameday so no celebrations) and it was SO EXCITING. I was in the engineering building for 6 hours working with my group so I was getting snapchats from my friends about the snow and I was so sad because I was stuck inside. Finally I just said I was going to take a study break and literally just stood outside in the snow. Everyone keeps asking me how I’m doing since I’m from SoCal but like the snow is beautiful I think I’m doing okay ?? Then at midnight the ~entire~ student body went to South Quad for the traditional first snow snowball fight. It was so fun but also intense––I witnessed so many bloody noses and one of my friends has a black eye.
Here’s an engineering project update, not that anyone would really want to know but this project is going to kill me so here is some documentation of my eventual COD. Basically, we have to construct a pet robot. There are 5 of us in my group but this group has THE weirdest dynamic ever. At first none of us really got along but eventually we worked it out––now I just work with one of the boys and then the two other boys and the other girl work together. Since we are the only ones who understand programming, the boy and I program the robot and the other 3 are decorating it. HOWEVER, they can’t decorate until we finish the program and the program is impossible and we are stuck. Yesterday the robot could do every function except for one, so we were trying (for *six hours*) to program it so it can go to sleep at the end of our presentation. At around hour 5, the program just completely stopped working so we reverted it back to the original which means the program works again but we are basically back to where we started. Anyways, RIP. Also, this boy is LITERALLY on drugs and I don’t understand because he is still so smart. Yesterday he asked me if I wanted to try crystal meth & I was like um NO DEF NOT.
Other than that, my life has been pretty boring, so here are some pics to make this post a lil less dry 🙂
Here is a pic of Christina, Katie, me, & Erin at the last game and it was SO cold but also so fun even though we lost (as usual).
Lenny & Dad visited me for the last game!!
Found some FRIENDS at the USC game (in which we also lost but it’s fine)!!
Here is a ~rough~ rare roomie pic (aka the first one ever with all four of us). Y’all know Christina & Erin but Savannah is the one on the right––she is the one who plays lacrosse.
I thought I would end this post with the usual dome update––in case you were wondering, the dome is still here and pretty as ever. Also, I don’t anticipate the snow pictures or the dome pictures stopping anytime soon, SORRY about it.
